Slow Cooker Greek Chicken (No Olives)
Ingredients
- 2 –2.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs (or breasts)
- 1 lemon sliced into rounds
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tbsp dried oregano or 2 tbsp fresh
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 cup chicken broth or water
- 1/2 red onion thinly sliced (optional)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: crumbled feta fresh parsley, tzatziki
Instructions
Assemble the Slow Cooker
- Place red onions (if using) in the bottom of the slow cooker. Lay the chicken on top. Sprinkle with garlic, oregano, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Drizzle olive oil over it and top with lemon slices. Add the broth.
Cook
- Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is very tender.
